Who is Carol Nakari, the woman from Nice who makes the kids on "The Voice" rehearse?

"The main thing is to enjoy the moment and have fun, whatever the outcome. That's what I tell everyone!" This Saturday evening, Carol Nakari will be in front of her television.
The Niçoise will be keeping a close eye on the blind performances of the young artists with whom she worked in April during the recording of the first stages of this new season of The Voice Kids , which starts this Saturday on TF1 (read elsewhere) .
The singer and singing teacher is officially a coach for the talent show this year. First, she will coach all the candidates, and then, more specifically, the young people selected by Soprano.
Carol Nakari will therefore be happy to follow the different stages of the show, without being able to reveal anything she already knows about the candidates' progress... Then she will return to Paris at the beginning of October to prepare the finalists for the final show, live.
Until then, we'll see her "from time to time on air, I bring the candidates on stage. And then sometimes, a little more..." , laughs the Montreal native, who arrived in Nice at the age of 2, who had a blast in this new mission. She was already familiar with talent shows.
She herself was a candidate for "The Voice" in 2013And who herself participated in The Voice , in 2013. During the casting, she was given a song by Joyce Jonathan, a choice which "didn't really fit [her] universe", she recalls.
She then transformed the song in her own image, adding notes of Sting and jazzy echoes. The Niçoise was not selected, but her interpretation received praise from the judges, who described it as "informative." "One of the best compliments I've ever received," smiles the singer, for whom the adventure with The Voice will not end there.
Her appearance caught the attention of a certain Bruno Berberes, casting director of the famous talent show, and Carol Nakari began collaborating with the show in another way. "I've been their talent scout for ten years," explains the artist, who has already organized local castings for The Voice, The Voice Kids for TF1, and La France a incroyable talent for M6.
This year, the collaboration goes further, and the Niçoise, who trained with Richard Cross, a pioneer of vocal pedagogy and cathode coach (he worked on the first two seasons of Popstars on M6, he will also participate in seasons 5, 6 and 7 of Star Academy ) is delighted to put his taste for transmission at the service of the candidates of The Voice Kids .
“Soprano was a great discovery!”"This show is kind to children. From the coordinator to the psychologist, from the makeup artist to the producer. It fits well with my mindset, " rejoices the woman who, with her partner, Sonia Delattre, created the Happy Arty School dance school in Nice, which offers training in singing, dance and theater by sharing "values of mutual aid, challenge, play in learning and awareness of each person's potential."
On the set of The Voice Kids , in Soprano's team, Carol Nakari prepares the young people's performances. "Soprano and the production choose the songs they will sing, then I have to find the key for each one, do the musical breakdown, coach them vocally, help them meet the deadline, the stress... It's a mission of transmission and kindness towards the children, helping them gain confidence and express their artistic personality," she explains.
She also paid tribute to her team leader, whom she had never met before. "Soprano was a great discovery! He has a lot of class and wisdom. He has a beautiful voice and is a beautiful soul. He gave me carte blanche and said a kind word to me in front of everyone, even though he didn't have to. He is very human."
Would she resign for another season? "A thousand times! And then, I also said yes to The Voice Kids to be able to highlight the association Godmother of the association Les Petits Invincibles, for the protection of child victims of violence, of which I am the godmother. I would say yes to anything to highlight this association."
